All of the coaches are extremely knowledgeable and friendly, which makes this a great place to train whether you're a complete beginner or a competitive lifter. The gym is always clean and the equipment is top notch. You'll find equipment here that you'll never find at most other gyms (ie. reverse hyper, belt squat, etc.). Programming is provided and every session is coached, which has really helped me to improve my technique and get the most out of each workout. The coaches do an awesome job of giving personalized feedback and tips/cues/accessory exercises to improve weak points. They will push you and help you get stronger. The gym hosts powerlifting competitions throughout the year if you want to compete (participation is optional and completely up to you). They also have different classes that focus on recovery and mobility, which is great for off days. They want you to get strong AND be healthy/mobile for as long as possible. Since our first priority is strength development, most of our training takes place in small groups under the watch of our skilled and attentive coaches. No experience is necessary to join South Brooklyn Weightlifting Club, We meet you where you are and teach you everything you need to know to help you safely build strength through barbell training. You can get a personal trainer at South Brooklyn Weightlifting Club but you may find that it is not necessary as you will get all the attention that you need in our small-group training sessions.
