Paulie Steinman is the founder and owner of the South Brooklyn Weightlifting Club (SBWC). SBWC is a powerlifting and weightlifting gym in the heart of South Brooklyn, NY. In 2014, SBWC became a USA Powerlifting Platinum Regional Training Center.

Paulie is a certified USA Powerlfiting Senior International Coach and he is on the USA Powerlifting Coaching Course staff. Paulie is an active USA Powerlifting National Referee, and a USA Powerlifting Meet Director. Paulie has successfully hosted numerous USA Powerliftng meets at SBWC, thus helping to expand USA Powerlifing’s presence in the region. He is also a certified USAW Advanced Sports Performance Coach and a certified USAW State Referee. Paulie also works as an Assistant Coach for Mike Tuchscherer’s Reactive Training Systems where he provides online coaching.

2015 was a busy coaching year. In addition to coaching his team at local, state, and regional meets, Paulie was a USA Powerlifting assistant coach at the IPF Classic Worlds, a USA Powerlifting assistant coach at the 13th Annual IPF/NAPF North American Regional Powerlifting Championships, and a USA Powerlifting assistant coach at the Men’s and Women’s Masters World Powerlifting Championships. At the USA Powerlifting Raw Nationals, Paulie helped coach Team RTS to a Combined Open third place finish. Finally, at the USA Powerlifting Raw Nationals, it was announced that Paulie was selected to be the head coach for the USA Powerlifting Masters Raw National Team for the 2016-2018 term.

Paulie is the head coach of the SBWC powerlifting team, earning a 1st Place Best Co-Ed Raw Team award at the USAPL Northeastern USA Regional Powerlifting Championships in 2012, at the USAPL American Open in 2013, and at the USAPL NJ State Open Championships in 2014. He served on the coaching staff of the SSPT team at the 2014 Raw Nationals. Paulie is also a competitive powerlifter.
